Take a minute to check your family first aid kit, your car first aid kit, and even the first aid kit at your work to make sure it is stocked up. We offer refills of all the supplies necessary to keep your first aid kit ready for action.

When you check your first aid kit do not just look to see what items you are out, of or running low on. Open tubes of ointment to make sure the cap had been on tightly and the cream has not dried out. Check antiseptic wipes and pouches of sunscreen to make sure the packets are still sealed. Check for punctures and tears. Make sure nothing is leaking. If something did leak, check to see if anything else in the kit became damaged or absorbed the mess. Check the expiration dates on packets of medications. Bear in mind that the expiration date is there for a reason and it is not safe to take expired medications. Also, double-check that the medication packets are still sealed. Make sure to replace anything that is missing or damaged.

Also think about items not in your first aid kit that it may be handy to have. Tweezers can be very useful when it comes to removing splinters or debris from a cut.
