At its most basic CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) can be performed with chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth. We carry numerous items that you can use to improve how you perform CPR, as well as items for CPR training.
A face shield can be used during CPR to help while giving breaths. The shield fits the contours of the patient's face, creating a seal so the air breathed into the mask is directed into the patient's lungs and is not lost through a poor seal. A face shield also limits the spread of germs and blood borne pathogens to keep both the patient and the rescuer safe from contaminants. Different situations have different needs, such as the seal easy cushioned resuscitation mark, that is designed for use in water. This mask ensures a reliable seal and is ideal for use at a pool, beach, or water park.
In place of the rescuer breathing for the patient you can us a manual ventilator. A simple squeeze of the bulb pushes air into the patient's lungs which lessen the chance of germs spreading. A rescue pump can be used to quickly and easily remove food, fluid and other items from a patient's airway.
CPR should only be performed by people trained on the proper procedure. There is plenty of equipment available to help with CPR training. We offer Manikins and replacement lung bags to allow rescuers to practice chest compressions and breathing. We also carry a CPR board which keeps the patient's head properly aligned.
