Disaster Kits
Prepare for the worst while hoping for the best with one of our disaster kits. Disaster can come in many forms, make sure it does not catch you off guard with a disaster kit. Disaster kits serve two purposes. First aid, so you can clean and bandage injuries like burns, cuts, and scrapes. First aid supplies also include hot and cold compress packs, medications, scissors, tweezers, and eye wash kits and pretty much anything that can be used to patch up an injury. The second function of a disaster kit is emergency preparedness. In the event of a disaster you may find yourself without power and unable to leave your home due to inclement weather or a state of emergency declaration. You could also be stranded in your vehicle, again due to bad weather or possibly car trouble. Emergency preparedness is simply stocking up on supplies to see you through when you cannot leave your location to get supplies. Our disaster kits feature items like harm warmers and ponchos to keep you warm and protect you from the elements in you are out doors. A disaster kit can also include items like matches, fire retardant blankets, and high calorie food rations. The main idea is to keep you protected from the elements and as comfortable as possible until you are able to leave your location on your own or until help can get to you and help you leave your location. Taking the precaution to stock up on supplies before you need them allows you to better deal with a disaster situation if it should happen.
