Diving Bricks
Take your water rescue training to a new level with a diving brick. Diving bricks are used by lifeguards and other water rescue personnel to train. Our diving bricks feature rubber outer layer for a dependable design that can handle being tossed and thrown about and dropped. The brick was designed to not cause any damage to pool liners so you can train without wrecking the practice facility. The rubber coating also protects the diving brick from getting banged up or damaged.
To use the brick a trainee swims while holding the brick and bringing it along with them. It teaches the swimmer how to carry items while still covering distance. As a swimmer becomes accustomed and develops their technique and adjusts their breathing while handling one brick, they can work towards handling multiple bricks at once. Since the brick weighs 10 pounds it also allows the swimmer to work on their fitness and endurance. Water rescue is challenging. Becoming certified to practice water rescue takes a lot of work and dedication, and once certification is achieved the work is not over. Those who work in water rescue must constantly train and work to stay in excellent physical condition to make sure they can save a life if they need to. Training with a diving brick helps those who aspire to work in water rescue as well as those who are already in the field to stay at the top of their game.
