Eyewash Stations
Keep your eyes healthy and clean with an eyewash station. Our wide selection of eyewash stations let you safely remove debris, chemicals and other contaminates that enter your eyes quickly and easily. An eyewash station consists of an eyewash fluid, usually saline. To use an eyewash station you need to hold your eye open and rinse with the eyewash. It is absolutely necessary that you do not rub your eye as this could cause debris to be pushed into the eye or the inside of your eye lid, resulting in additional scratches and damage. Make sure you also rinse both eyes. Even if you know you only had contaminants in one eye, rinsing them both ensures both of your eyes are clean. Continue to rinse for several minutes. Consistent and continual rinsing removes all material and cleans any scratches or damage that is internal. Since you cannot see internal damage you need to keep rinsing to ensure any cuts or scratches are completely clean. Consult a doctor as soon as possible to ensure the health of your eyes and for additional care and treatment after using an eyewash station.
Some places of employment are required by law to have an eyewash station for their employees. Make sure you know and follow all state and federal laws. Make sure to keep extra eyewash fluid on hand to replace fluid after use. Eyewash fluid has an expiration date so make sure you routinely check the expiration date and replace the bottles as necessary.
