Having a ready supply of survival gear can mean the difference between a worst case scenario that you pulled through and it made you a better person, or a complete disaster that has life altering consequences. It is wise for every individual and every family to have an emergency plan, so when things go bad no one panics because they know what they need to do. As a general rule pack enough supplies to last your family for several days. Hopefully you will not need it all, but if you do it can be a lifesaver. You should keep survival gear in your home and your vehicle so you are always ready. Make sure everyone in your family or household knows where the survival gear is stored both in your home and in your vehicle. If everyone knows where the gear is kept than any member of the family can use the gear if they need it.
